YOUNIQUE UPPER LIP STAIN REVIEW

Eyes - Younique 3D fiber mascara
Lips - Younique Upper Lip Stain
If you want something easy that will not budge from your lips and leaves you with a dramatically beautiful look this is it!

Just before Christmas I had the most gorgeous little parcel through the door from Kate Graydon, A Younique presenter (see her site here). I was expecting the 3D fibre mascara, but luckily for me alongside it came a beautiful Younique lip stain. I’ve never used a lip stain before, I have always stuck with the lip sticks and occasionally gloss, so I was excited to see what this little tube could produce.

So firstly, Younique products are all naturally sourced and are hypoallergenic; I’ve also recently found out that Younique are currently in the process of registration for Cruelty free on all of their products – which is fab!

But let’s get to the product itself. The Stiff Upper Lip, Lip Stain comes in a simple, elegant looking black cardboard box, with clear white font on the front – very cute. The formula itself is extremely watery, I had no idea how it would last on my lips, but to my delight it really did. After a few swipes along the lips, you are literally good to go. The product sets within seconds – Yes, it goes from a red watery liquid to a matte lip colour in a few seconds! I love that from one bottle you can gain a few variations of colour, if you want a strong red lip then the colour is easy to build up.

I have worn this product every day for like the last two weeks – I am obsessed! I was in shock at how well the lip stain lasted on my lips, and I could wear it without re-applying it for nearly 8 hours even when eating and drinking. There was some transfer when drinking but it completely outlasted any of my other lipsticks that I own.

So I believe this is a limited edition piece, that was on promo with Younique products once you spent over $150 (USD) on other Younique pieces then you got it for free in November. Younique have customer kudos product per month for customer who spend over a certain amount. However keep an eye out as it may come into sale in the next year!

You can buy any of her Younique products from Kate Graydon either by Facebook, or on her Younique site, I'm sure she will be able to help, with anything you are looking for as she is absolutely lovely!

Until then,

love and kisses

OOTD WINTER WONDERLAND

Quick post today as once again I am rushing out the door to deliver some presents. This is the outfit I wore when we headed to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park (click here to see what I thought of the day). I live in these Primark booties, for me they are like the most perfect day boots - they are mega comfy for a day of mooching and bar hopping. The coat is a new purchase from Boohoo sale, I sized up with this coat as I often struggle with sleeve length, in hindsight I should have kept to my normal sizing, as I now need to roll the sleeve up, typical!
Annoyingly alot of these items aren't online anymore, so I've tried to find some similar pieces for you below :)

Coat - Boohoo (similar here)
Jumper - Primark (similar here)
Necklace - Matalan (similar here
Jeans - Zara
Boots - Primark (similar here and here
Bag - Primark

Hope you all have a lovely christmas, can't wait to catch up on what you all got!

Merry Christmas!!

love and kisses

PS, does anybody know why my pictures are all becoming distorted? Any help would be fab, just leave a comment below or send me an email xo.

WINTER WONDERLAND, LONDON.

Last Thursday me and Craig headed over to LDN to visit Winter Winderland, I bugged him all last year to take me, but you know what Christmas time is like, and unfortunately we never made it, so this year I was completely determined to go. Craig managed to get the day off, so off we set. A few of my friends had already been and got the train/tube over to Hyde Park, but me and Craig opted to drive, and parked at Westfields, Shepards Bush – such a good idea!! Only costs £6.50 for all day parking which for us was a little bargain as opposed to paying £25 each for the train. So a little tip for you, If someone is willing to drive. It was super easy to get the tube (central line) from Shepards bush over to Oxford Circus for a little mooch, which is what we did.

After a few hours of shopping, we headed to Hyde Park, I was pretty much like an excited school child. First things first we headed over the Bavarian Village for a few mulled wines and hot ciders – delicious – definitely recommend both drinks, Craig however wasn't so keen, but as you can imagine I was more than happy to lend him a helping hand. We spent all afternoon mooching around the German Christmas Market with well over 200 fairylit Bavarian style wooden chalets, collecting a couple of Christmas presents along the way, playing a few of the games; Craig tried his hand at a bit of curling with no luck and we left empty handed.

We later headed over to the Magical Ice Kingdom (which we pre-booked here). When booking this attraction they advise you to really wrap up and they are not joking, wow, with temperature dipping to about -8 degrees  I genuinely thought that my hands were going to drop off, so definitely invest in some gloves before you go. You walk through a frozen forest with ice sculptures of fairies, dragons and castles – take your camera as they are beautiful. Nearing the end of the walk is a miniature ice bar, by this time we were thoroughly frozen so opted out and headed to the carousel bar for more mulled wines and ciders.

Our last booking was the Giant Wheel – very similar to the London eye but with smaller pods. We decided we were going to do this later on, once the dark had drawn in. Unluckily for us, the weather decided to worsen and the rain began, making it quite hard to see once on the wheel, but the sights of the London skyline illuminated was beautiful even through the rain. Again we pre-booked (link here) this online but to be honest it didn’t seem to make a difference as we queued for a good 25 minutes before getting on the wheel.

I would 100% recommend this for a day out, there is so much to do, we were there for about 5-6 hours and I could have happily stayed on. I would definitely say it’s worth taking the day off work and going during the week as opposed to the weekends as from what I have heard its crazy busy during the weekend.

Let me know if you have been and what you enjoyed the most :)

Love and kisses

LIVING NATURE CONCEALER REVIEW.

Another beauty post this month after receiving my MyPure package; up this time is the Living Nature Concealer (in the colour Medium). Luckily I don’t tend to suffer with acne however I do suffer with the occasional mountain breakout  that pops up on my face, so concealer is a must for me. Living Nature claims that the ‘concealer minimises the appearance of skin imperfections and dark circles around the eyes’, and I had no reason to believe that this product wouldn’t live up to the claim, as I’ve always heard about how fantastic the Living Nature products are. So I was delighted when this little package turned up on my doorstep.

The concealer comes in a black cardboard box packaging that is recyclable – always a plus! Information such as how to apply is printed on the box itself, inside the box is a sturdy, squeezable tube in black. The packaging is very similar to the design of MAC and KIKO products but with more information on the outer packaging. The tube itself is rather small so is great for carrying around for any on-the-go touch ups. I was worried about the tube leaking in my bag, if the tube was squashed however it was absolutely fine.

The concealer texture is soft and smooth which allows it to glide onto the skin with no effort at all. I use my EcoTool’s flat concealer brush to apply the concealer to my imperfections (see my review of them here). The concealer blends in easily covering the blemishes and redness well and lasts a good 7-8 hours before needing to be re-applied. The concealer can be applied with both a brush or with fingers without it effecting the staying power of the concealer. I also found that the concealer stayed longer when I applied it straight after using my moisturiser (Laidbare Working 9 to 5 hydration crème, review here). Additionally, you get tons of wear in the tiniest amount, so it lasts well.

The foundation comes in three shades: light, medium and dark. I selected the medium shade, however in hindsight, I think that the light shade would have suited my skin tone slightly better, especially during the colder month without a tan.

You can purchase about 60+ Living Nature products from the MyPure site here and the concealer here. The concealer usually retails on the site £21 however there is a special offer on at the moment so its reduced to £18.90.

Have you used any of the Living nature products? How was your experience?  Please share your thoughts in the comments section below!

LAIDBARE WORKING 9 TO 5 HYDRATION CREME

When this product came through my door, I was excited to review it, I am extremely lazy when it comes to skincare but  always had a problem with dry skin on my nose throughout the colder months, so I thought maybe this could be the moisturizer that helps!

The product comes in a lush simple pink and white cardboard box, with matching colours on the screw-cap tube inside. The outer casing gives a lot of information about the product, including benefits, how to apply and the ingredients, which is then replicated on the tube – very handy for those of you who don’t intend to keep the outer packaging.  The product claims that ‘the hydration cream moisturises and protects around the clock. With extracts of rose water to calm, revitalise and soften the skin’.

I’ve been using the moisturizer twice a day, once in the morning before applying my makeup and once after I’ve taken my makeup off. The moisturizer feels very light when applied to the skin, It absorbed into my skin with ease, and was good to use daily as it didn’t feel too heavy nor did it leave my skin feeling greasy. Additionally to this, I found that the moisturiser provided a good base for my foundation and make up and gives my foundation extra staying power.

However the main reason for choosing this product was to help hydrate the skin on my nose, which this product has not done at all.

Overall, I really like this moisturiser; it smells delicious and does a good job at all over moisturising. I feel this product is good for daily use as it has made my skin generally feel a lot smoother and hydrated however it was not good to use on targeted areas. You can purchase Laidbare Working 9 to 5 hydrating cream directing from the MyPure website here as well as a large selection of the LaidBare range here.

The product usually retail on MyPure for £7.99 but if you rush over now, you can get it at the slightly reduced price of £7.19 along with reduced priced on the majority of the Laidbare range.

Hope you are all nearly prepared for Christmas, It'll be here before we know it!!

love and kisses

SUMMER FLASHBACK.

This post makes me miss summer so badly. I can't believe that I forgot about this outfit, and only realised when I stumbled across it on my laptop!  So please excuse how summery this outfit is, but I still wanted to share it with you as I loved wearing it.

So in August, me and a few friends made a trip down to Newbury races for my boyfriend's birthday, and this is the outfit I ended up wearing. After buying tickets earlier in the year, I had plenty of time to prepare an outfit, but me being me, left it to the day before, running around Reading town center.

This top is a one-of-a-kind bargain from Harper & Lewis Vintage shop, it was £10 which is nothing for a one-of-a-kind piece, here is a link to their website as some of their pieces are to die for!

My shoes I have featured before in the blog in my Summers Wedding post, yes I did buy these flatforms in both colours, I could not decide which I preferred so just ended up with both, oops!

I grabbed this skirt in the end of summer sale at Matalan for a ridiculous cheap price, I can't remember exactly how much it was but it was definitely no more than a tenner - bargain or what!

Blazer - River Island (old)
Top - Harper and Lewis Vintage
Skirt - Matalan (sale)
Shoes - Zara (sale)
Bag - Zara.

Sorry this post is so late, as I've mentioned before, organisation nor memory are not my strongest points!

Also how blonde does my hair look??

THE FORGOTTEN POST.

Happy 1st December J

How are we in December already? This year has flown by, hasn't it? I was meant to post this outfit in November as I wanted to share with you what I ventured out in for bonfire night; however I’m only a month behind – sorry lovelies. Anyways Bonfire night is one of my favourite nights of the year, how can anyone not love watching fireworks?

This cape has become an essential part of my autumn/winter wardrobe, it's so diverse mega easy to dress up or wear casually as I have done here. I've paired it with my fav primark turtle neck jumper - so snuggly and of course my Miss Selfridge stole! The stole is currently reduced to £20 so head over to the Miss Selfridge website asap. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen this outfit quite a while ago. I managed to nab this bag from the limited edition section in Cardiff's primark and I've had a lot of lush comments about it since I've been using it, so here it is, again it’s been popping up on my Instagram too.
My shoes were an absolute steal, a bargain reduced to £8.99 from select, can't complain about that, they also come in a reddy wine colour, also very cute.

Today's lip colour is Inika Mineral Lipstick in Naked Ambition (read my review on the lipstick here)  and Mac's pro longwear lip pencil in Etcetera.

Cape - c/o Dolly Daydream
Jumper and Bag - Primark

Hope you all have your christmas shopping well underway and are having a fab December so far.

love and kisses
