THE DRESS OF DREAMS.

Sorry for the quality of these pictures, the sun couldn't decide whether to come out or stay hidden so the lighting in these photos isn't brilliant.
Anyways, I couldn't wait to share this dress with you, I have been lusting after it for months. If you read my March Wishlist (see here) it was probably my most wanted item, in fact by the time the post went live, I had already brought it!! (Thank god for online shopping as they had sold out in my local shop).
It's not everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely love it. If you are tall, l would definitely recommend sizing up, I'm 5ft 8 and it still comes up pretty short.
I couldn't wait to pair this dress with my thigh highs (which I am still in love with and still living in). Although I can't wait for the summer, and the sunshine to finally come and stay, I'll be sad to part with these booties. I've added a simple roll neck underneath the dress for the colder days but as soon as the sun comes out to play, you'll be able to see the dress in all its simple yet gorgeous glory.

I am absolutely loving khaki at the moment, what colours are you loving recently? Should I be heading towards lighter colours now the sun is coming out to play?

Until next time

INIKA MINERAL ILLUMINISOR.

A little pot of pink sparkle. Inika have done it again. This little pot of magic is perfect for highlighting those cheek bones and brow bones, giving a natural look with a slight sparkle and glow.
The packaging comes in a cute little plastic pot with a black screw top lip with 'INIKA' printed in gold on the top. The main part of the pot is transparent so you are able to see the product inside (ideal for when you think you are running low). Underneath the screw top lid is a sifter lid, allowing you to shake out as much or as little powder as you want.
NOTE: do be careful if you are planning on carrying this product around with you, I ended
up with waaay to much powder in the lid, and to my disgust it ended up all over my new black jeans, damn!!
I applied the illuminisor powder with my Makeup Revolution pro F104 powder brush, on top of my cheekbones and brow bone to give a highlighting effect. I loved this product as there was little fall out from the brush and it had really good sticking power. It gave a lovely light, shimmery colour without being too glittery or pink. The colour blends in well to give a slight tint to the cheek leaving a lush natural highlighted look.

Although the pot is small in size, a little really does go a long way. You can build up the powder to give the cheek a brighter pink tinted highlighter.
Its hard to 'over-do it' which this product as the proportions of glittery and pinkness is just spot on.
Overall I really loved this powder and wished that I had discovered it years ago! It has certainly encouraged me to look into more of the Inika skin line. I think I'm going to try the powder foundation soon.
You can buy this little pot of magic dust from the MyPure Website here, along with lots of other mineral make up.

Until next time

SPRING STRIPES.

Is spring finally around the corner? I feel like the sun keeps teasing me, one minute its shining, the next it's pouring down with rain.

Anyway, I saw this shirt dress a few weeks ago in h&m and thought it would be lush for spring. It's very much out of my usual dress sense, but I really fell in love with the bright bold colours.
I thought I'd try and keep the rest of the outfit quite neutral to show off the gorgeous dress. The coat is a golden oldy from BooHoo, I still live in it,  completely surprised how I've managed to keep it so clean. Me + white = disaster!!
How lush is my bag, I managed to pick it up from a vintage fair whilst I was at university in Swansea, and it always keep cropping back into my outfits, I absolutely love the colour and the shape.
I wore this outfit up to London last month for my mumma's birthday to go for afternoon tea and to see Thriller Live - I would definitely recommend it if you want to see a feel good singalong show, the dancers and singers were incredible!! It was absolutely freezing so I added a pair of leggings to the outfit and it worked perfectly well, so don't be put off buying it just because the sun isn't out yet.

INIKA BROW PENCIL

How does everyone create the perfect brow?!

I have the fairest eyebrows in the world, you can barely even see that they are there, so I am constantly on the hunt for brow pencils, that will give my brows definition but that don’t make them stand out too much against my pale complexion.
I've used lots of eye brow pencils, even tried H&M's own beauty brand, and although I liked most of them, I haven't found one that has particularly stood out as a firm favourite yet.

I haven't reviewed any Inika products since last year (Mineral Lipstick Review here & Rosehip colour for cheeks and lips here), so let me just recap a little bit about the company. Inika products are made from 'the finest crushed mineral pigments', They are a certified cruelty free company and one of the few certified vegan make up brands currently on the market. They also claim that 'only a tiny bit of product is needed to achieve great coverage, which means your Inika products will not only perform brilliantly but also last longer as well'.

The Inika pencil comes in a fairly simple yet classic black and gold cardboard box, inside the box is a sleek black pencil, with two lids, one a clear plastic lid, the other with a built in sharpener. The pencil is currently available in two colours - Blonde Bombshell and Brunette Beauty. I opted for the blonde bombshell option hoping that it would go well with my skin tone.

The brow pencil looks so light in the photos below, and to be honest, it is a very light tone however it is easily built up to give a slightly deeper colour. The pencil is extremely soft, making it very easy to apply without leaving lots of pencil lines in my brows. Unlike previous eye brow pencils that I have used, this pencil nib doesn't break away easily, even when increasing pressure is applied, additionally there is no waxy residue left on the brows nor does it clump up, which helps to give a more natural look. I've been able to define and volumise my brows whilst using this pencil, and fill in any gaps within my brows.

I've been using my this brow pencil alongside my Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper and Hair Touch up also in Blonde. Ive found that together these products work so well, and give me the best shape and colour that my eyebrows have had for a long time!

Brows using both the Inika Brow Pencil and the Bobbi Brown Brow Shaper both in Blonde.
I would highly recommend this eye brow pencil, although it is a little bit more pricey that drugstore buys, it is definitely worth parting with your cash for. You can purchase the Inika brow pencil from the MyPure site here for £13.50.

I've been playing around with make up and hair slightly today, what do you think of this look above?

w7 BUTTER KISS AND LIP TWISTER REVIEWS.

So this is my last planned post about the w7 make up range, I've already reviewed the in the buff: lightly toasted palette (read it here), and the absolute lashes mascara (read my thoughts here), however I've really liked the products, so there is a possibility I will review some more pieces.

First up is the Butter Kiss Lipstick in Bordeaux.

I love how bright this lipstick is, this normally would have been a colour that I would have backed away from, as it is such a statement red, however now I have my hands on it, it seems to have lived on my lips.

The pigmentation you get from just one application of this little tube of wonder is just incredible. The lipstick really does live up to its name 'Butter Kiss', Its glides onto the lip when you apply it, leaving a beautiful creamy finish. It is so moisturising as well, what a bonus!

Secondly is the Lip Twister Lip liner. Everybody loves a good bargain these days don't they? But when I found out this lip liner was only £2.50 I really questioned how good the product would be. However I was pleasantly surprised. Its a creamy, highly pigmented colour which leaves a strong, yet fine line along the lip. This product is an easy twist up liner which is brilliant to use on-the-go. Although the pigmentation is good, the staying power of the lip liner is not as brilliant. I need to re-apply the lip liner quite a few times throughout the day, however as it was so easy to apply to the lip this definitely would not put me buying the product again.

You can buy all the Butter Kiss Lipsticks in all shades here, including Bordeaux for a tiny £4.50. I would 100% recommend these lipsticks if you are looking for a bright, moisturising lipsticks that is easy to apply. Unfortunately you can't buy the lip twister from the w7 website, however you can still get it on Muobu here.  The lip liner is currently available in four different colours: red, brown, nude and pink. I'm definitely planning on investing in the nude liner!

Have you tried any of the w7 lip range? How did you get on with them?
Anyone else planning in red lips and nails for Red Nose Day tomorrow?

Until next time

MARCH WISHLIST.

I can't believe that I haven't posted a wish list since May 2014. Thats coming onto a year! Wow! So just a quick post tonight to show you some items that I am seriously lusting over at the moment, and are hoping to add to my wardrobe ASAP! I naughtily managed to bag the faux leather dress from Zara recently as they had sold out in my local Zara, so I didn't want to risk waiting! Oops, sorry bank!

What items are on your wishlist? Share the links below :)

MONOCHROME LAYERING.

Finally a Zara purchase not from the sale!

I noticed this cropped top with the side 'snaps', as they are called by Zara, a few weeks ago but decided to leave it, however every time I walked into Zara I was drawn to it. So I went against my original will power and quickly grabbed it before it sold out. Now I've worn it, I absolutely love it. Layering is a great way to transition into Spring, especially if the weather continues to be as unpredictable as it as been.
These boots, have been in my life for ages now, and I have no idea where I would have been without them. They have been blogger's favourites for months now, I managed to nab some before the world went crazy for them and they all sold out, but they are back in stock in most places now. I grabbed mine from LaModa for £35 compared to the River Island £70 ones, but to be honest with you I can't see a huge difference. Mine are mega comfy so I would definitely recommend LaModa especially for their price!

Shirt - New Look (old) (similar here in black)
Necklace - Select Fashion (old) (found one eBay here)

This outfit is so me! I've been trying to get more colour into my wardrobe recently, but I also end up back at my monochrome roots!
Also can you believe that we are in March already?! February absolutely flew by didn't it?!

Until Next Time
