LIVING NATURE THICKENING MASCARA.

Another mascara? If i had a pound for everytime my mum said that, I honestly think I would be rich. I current own a hundreds of tubes of mascara at the moment, as I just love them all for different types of looks, so I thought adding one more into the mix wouldn't hurt, so today is the turn of Living Nature's Thickening Mascara.

What does the product claim to do?

Living Nature claims ''A subtle blackened brown for plump lashes and beautifully natural eyes. Living Natiure thickening mascara uses halloysite clay to thicken lashes for impact without clumps or chemicals''

I've been using this mascara for a while now, and it has such a lush fresh smell when you unscrew the plain black lid. It applies really easily to the lashes and is easily removed at the end of the day. When using the mascara I found no smudging through the day and it lasted really well. After one application I didn't notice my lashes being any thicker, however after two applications it definitely does help the thickness of the lashes.
However, for me, I prefer mascara that thickens, volumises and lengthens my lashes, so this isn't a mascara that I would chose if I were looking for a dramatic look. Nevertheless, this is a mascara I would use for an everyday natural look. I found that the mascara did clump my lashes together, but not too much so this wouldn't stop me from using it!

Using Living Nature Thickening Mascara with two coats.

Would I purchase this item again?
Unfortunately this product is slightly out of my price range at the moment for the amount that I have been using it. As I said earlier I prefer a mascara that lengthens and volumises my lashes, however if you are looking for a mascara to give your lashes a jet black yet natural look, then this mascara is definitely for you. You can purchase it from the MyPure website here for £21, it is available in two colours - jet black (this one) and a blackened brown.

1!

Oh wow! I can't believe I missed my blog's first blogiversary! It was at the beginning of the month but it has come around so quickly, who would have thought when I started this little blog that a year later it would still be going! Mental!!

So I just wanted to make a little post to say A HUGE THANK YOU to all my readers and followers both on my blog and across other social media channels.
To celebrate my blog reaching its first birthday, I'd have a look back over the last year and select my 5 favourite posts. I thought this would be easy, but how wrong was i?
But here goes...

I am still in love with the pattern on this dress, it's a dress that I go to for a night out with the girls or for lunch out with the family.

Monochrome is honestly a girls best friend isn't it?

I lived in this fur stole all through winter, and it's still creeping into my outfit posts thia summer. It really adds that oomph to an outfit.

I love my hair and makeup like this, I definitely need to start experimenting with my hair again for blog posts.

1. WATERCOLOUR

This is 100% my favourite outfit post since I started my blog last year. This outfit is completely all me in the summer. I love how summery and festival inspired this post is!! How blonde were the ends of my hair, wow.

What have been your favourite posts from MDO over the last year? It was so tough to decide on a top five for me. Maybe I should go back blonde again for the summer? Opinions....

SCRUB AWAY...

Hello Prity Skincare.
I couldn't wait to give this product a try when it landed on my door step! I had never heard of Prity Skincare before, but it's definitely a company I would use again.

If you are looking for a fast drying yet skin-tightening, highly exfoliating, face-softening face mask then the Hand- Pounded Fruit Scrub is the mask for you!
The fruit scrub is completely organic and is made from ingredients such as raw honey, finely milled almonds, aloe vera, rose extract, freshly organically grown dates, peaches and apricots alongside other ingredients.

This product can be used one of two ways either once a week as a face mask or two/three times a week to exfoliate the face. I've been using it once a week as a face mask. I've found to achieve the best results, you should:
  • Apply a thick layer of the fruit scrub to your face and leave it to dry until the skin starts to feel tight - this only takes 5-10 minutes,
  • Add a little water to the hardened mask to help liquify the product, and begin to remove the face mask in circular movements to help exfoliate the skin (pay particular attention to any areas you may struggle with dead or flaky skin - for me it's my nose)
  • Wash off any remaining product.
  • If you desire you can apply some moisturiser to your face, however I haven't been doing so, I tend to apply moisturiser the next morning.

I've been using this product once a week for a few months and I absolutely love it! After washing it off my face, it feels like heaven; my face feels smooth, clean and tighter. I've always been so lazy with skin care, so i'm really trying to turn it around now, and am really glad i'm starting so with this product. I've felt that since using this product my skin looks healthier, more even (less pigmented in certain areas) and a lot firmer - which is amazing!

This product and skincare line is definitely one to keep an eye out for! This product has lived up to everything it claims to do, and would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if you suffer with sensitive skin! You can buy the scrub from the Prity Skincare website here and the scrub specifically from here.

KHAKI GALORE.

What has happened to my outfit posts? I've seriously been slacking, I'm hoping that now my work hours are less, I'll be able to blog more outfits :)
I actually took these photos about a month ago, so I've waited to post this for a while now. I absolutely love this shirt dress; alot of my posts recently have included an item of khaki clothing, I just can't get enough of it.
This is such a casual outfit today, and an outfit that I have worn out quite a bit recently, but can be both dressed up and down.
The dress is from New Look, it's got a dipped hem at the back and a tie around the middle to help pull in at the waist. I've paired it with my trusty old fur stole from Miss Selfridge for the colder evenings. These little flats are from Primark and I absolutely love them, how cute is the lace cover? And they were such a bargain!!

Bag - H&M (similar here and here)
Shoes - Primark (recently)

This is possibly one of my favourite outfit posts that have been up on MDO, Its so casual and comfortable yet still looks classy. Hope all is well with all of my readers, and fingers crossed for some more sunshine soon!

INIKA MINERAL BRONZER

Hi all,  sorry this post has taken a while. I've started a new job this week so blogging had to be put on holt for the week. However back to this post, last month I reviewed Inika's brown pencil (here) and mineral illuminsor (here) and I could barely fault them, so I thought I'd better give the bronzer a chance. To be honest with you, I always become so lazy with my makeup through the Summer months, and rarely apply any foundation, so I was hoping this could become a mini substitute through the summer to give me skin that extra glow alongside using their mineral illuminisor.
I opted for the lightest colour available called sunlight and it is very light, with warm undertones. The more I used this product, the more I have used it for a light overall coverage rather than a bronzer. I found that the product was too light for my skin and did not give it a bronzed effect that is desired when applying bronzer. However I loved how light this bronzer felt on my face and it did give good coverage over blemishes and uneven skin tones when used as a powder foundation rather than as a bronzer.
The powder applies really easily to the face (I use my makeup revolution powder brush), leaving your face with a light and even complexion.

For me, this bronzer was perfect to use for a light overall face coverage, however if you are looking for a bronzing product, this wouldn't be a product I would recommend.
You can purchase the product from the MyPure site here, and all other Inika products from MyPure here.
