INIKA MINERAL LIPSTICK - MYPURE

The lovelies over at MyPure recently got in contact with me, and asked me to review some of their products. I was able to pick two pieces from the site – probably the hardest decision ever. However I naturally gravitated towards to lipstick section. I'm seriously growing into a big time lipstick lover recently.

Inika is one of the well-known brands that MyPure stock. Inika pride themselves on manufacturing pure natural make-up made from the ‘finest crushed mineral pigments’. Inika are highly rated on the fact that they are a certified cruelty free and vegan make-up brand.

I decided upon the Inika Mineral Lipstick in Naked Ambition – which looked a pale pinky/purply colour on the MyPure site – a colour that I don’t usually dabble in, but I was very keen on trying something new. When the parcel turned up I was quite disappointed as you can the colour is more of a natural nude colour, definitely not the colour I was expecting. However I was pleasantly surprised once I tried it on, and to be honest the more I wore it, the more I fell in love the nude colour.

The texture of the lipstick was quite hard however it does soften up with the warmth of your lips, and spreads for an evenly distributed lip cover. The formula is very light weight and feels like nothing on your lips, I also found the lipstick to be quite moisturising which is definitely a huge plus for this time of year for me. The lipstick is quite transparent once on the lips, and looks like more a gloss than a lipstick, meaning that I didn’t feel the need to apply any gloss over the top.

If you are looking for light weight, day-to-night wearable shade to suit majority of skintones, I would recommend visiting the MyPure site and snapping up some of the Inika range.

This lipstick retails £17 however if you dash over to the MyPure site, it is currently on special offer at £15.30.

I definitely need to invest it a neural lip liner to compliment this lipstick, can you reccomend any?

BECOME ADORNED.

These ladies do not get enough recognition for the lush jewellery that they produce! I was lucky enough to be sent three necklaces and a bracelet from them over the summer and I honestly can't live without them!

I don't want to repeat my last blogpost on them too much (adorned boho), but want to give you a brief insight into the beautiful work they produce!

So Margarita and Sarah are a mother and daughter duo who specialise in recycling and upcycling old jewellery and clothing. and will literally try and cater to any of your needs!! Their main aim is to help "make a small, sustainable footprint in the fashion industry", whilst doing that they produce cute and quirky boho inspired necklaces, bracelets, earrings, trousers, jackets and so on!

I have spoken to the two lovely ladies over at Adorned HQ and I have some lush news to share with you. They are planning to expand their business and offer a range of Fairtrade homeware pieces and also exclusive cushion covers that are made from recycled and upcycled fabrics. So make sure you keep your eyes peeled for that, as I sure none of the pieces will be available for long.

Here is a small wishlist I have compiled from their collection, (I could have added many more):

Please go and check them out on either Facebook, Asos Marketplace and Instagram because you honestly won't be disappointed.

BURBERRY INSPIRED.

Capes, capes, capes! They are all over the place at moment - the perfect A/W2014 accessory.

So obviously I have been searching everywhere for my perfect cape since seeing the beautiful Burberry cape on models such as Cara and Rosie. I had sort of given up on finding any that came close to the Burberry one until I stumbled across Dolly Day Dream Online store, and found this beaut. Clearly the ladies at Dolly Day Dream must have been reading the mind of ladies across the globe when they created this beaut yet affordable Burberry Inspired Cape.

I am completely in love with the blocked autumnal colours of the cape, and it can literally be matched with so many different items. I had planned to style this cape with a top and leather shorts with a sort of socks and heel combo, however the weather has all of a sudden decided to drop completely and it was so bloody cold outside that I couldn't cope with it and had to change.

I have a confession to make, these boots aren't actually mine, I stole them from my sister, cheers Ellie! She brought them about two years ago and they are still going strong. Neither of us can remember where she got them from but there are hundreds of knee high boots around at the moment.

Also, new lipstick alert - this is Creme in your Coffee by Mac - I loooove it. I'm really into my browny coloured lipsticks at the moment, how lush is this colour?

Jeans and Jumper - Primark
Stole - Miss Selfridge
Boots - Old
Necklaces - Internationale, Primark, eBay

Calling all Fbloggers, I'm in serious need of help. I cannot find any knee high boots, that will fit around my calves - they all fall down :(  Has anyone else had this problem? where can I find a good pair - help a girl out!

RAIDERS DOLPHINS.

I thought I'd do something a tad different today, and give you a slight insight into the girl behind the blog, and of something that I love doing.
Apart from all the usual loves a girl has - clothes, cocktails, dinners out, girls nights, holidays and all that jazz, I have grown a huge love for NFL (american football).

For christmas last year, I treated the boy and my mum's partner to a NFLUK season ticket, and of course I went along. This year the NFL has scheduled three games at Wembley, and the first was Oakland Raiders v Miami Dolphins.

The sun was shining, the atmosphere in the stadium was electric and the drinks flowed all day - the perfect mixture for a great game. The Dolphins squashed the Raiders winning 14-38 in what ended up being a very one-sided game - however it only made the support for the Raiders stronger.

Here are some pictures from the day. I shamefully didn't take my Nikon with me, instead settled for sharing my boyfriends small digital camera, however, I think we still managed to capture some good shots of the day for you to have a nose through. I unfortunately didn't take any photos once the game has started, one too many drinks and way too much shouting to be done. I'll be back at Wembley this Sunday (26th) for the next NFLUK installment - Falcons v Lions - yaaay :)

What do you guys think of me doing some life blogposts as well as the usual fashion and beauty? I was also thinking about doing a post about some of my new bedroom bits and pieces...would this be something you are interested in?

WINTER WARMER.

If you haven't seem this coat before, where have you been? It's been floating around from press day photos to blogs for the last two month or so and it is AMAZING!
I managed to nab it at the end of August before my shopping ban, and have pretty much lived in it. I am in love with the colour combinations, they are just so on point especially for the colder days that are drawing in. It was a bargain £30, which really is nothing for a winter coat. The coat comes up quite large, so its probably best to size down by a dress size or two depending how you want it to fit. I went down one size, as I am loving the hugely oversized androgynous look at the moment.
I decided to dress up the coat slightly with this gorgeous Mango dress that I picked up when I visited Milan. I have featured this dress before in a co-ord post
My burgundy fedora needed to make another appear with this post, as the hat matches the coat perfect.
I finally paired my cute little cut out booties from New Look last year to finish the look, Ill find some similar ones for you to have gander at.

Dress - Mango
Boots - New Look - similar here and here

What do you think of the outfit? how would you style it?

FEDORAS AND FUR.

As you may know, through September I gave myself a challenge to stop shopping, so once October hit us, I was back in the shops ASAP, and here are a few of my new purchases!

So firstly are my new shoes, from the one and only Primark, they have got it so right this A/W especially in the shoes and accessories department, I'm absolutely in love with these shoes, so perfect.

My new fedora, as if I needed another one, but it's just so cute.

Then finally my bag and stole. This stole is just fab and so cosy perfect for these cold mornings. The bag, is from HOF linear concession. They currently have a 50% off event going on, so if you love it, rush to get it now as I don't think they'll be hanging around on the shelves for much longer.

KIKO VOLUMEYES+.

Minus last month because of my eyelash perm and tint, I cannot tell you the last time I left my house without applying any mascara. I have the most fair eyelashes in the world - no joke - so mascara has always been my number one make up love!

As I've blogged about before in my KIKO full coverage review, in April I visited Milan and discovered KIKO make up, and managed to nab myself the volumeyes+ active mascara. KIKO claim that if you use the mascara for 30 days or more then the special formula in the beautiful little golden tube will help your eyelash diameter increase 21 times more then when using a normal mascara.

The mascara is usually £7.90 with shipping fees starting from £5.90 however keep your eyes peeled as KIKO always have great savings on their website and the mascara is currently 50% off, so £3.90 - what a flipping bargain!? Also if you are looking for another way of saving the pennies, if you sign up to MyKIKO you can benefit from discounted standard and express delivery :) so don't say I never let you into some secrets.

I've been using this mascara for at least 3-4 months, I have no idea whether they are 21 times more thicker but they definitely look a lot fuller and longer than when compared to other mascaras that I've used.

If you are looking for a mascara that lengthens your lashes then this is the one for you! After one coat of the mascara my lashes look lengthened and fuller, and improved even more with two or three coats. The mascara lasts me all day and well into the evening! This mascara gets a huge thumbs up from me especially as it does not give you those annoying, unsightly lumps on the lashes!

Can you believe this is my first beauty post since July? That is shameful, sorry my lovelies, I'll do my best to get back on top of things!

love and kisses
